Verb-topicalization and its translation equivalents in some Central European languages

Abstrakt

Verb-topicalization (described using diversified terminology) is present in many European languages which makes it an interesting topic for several linguistic disciplines. Besides structural features it seems important to research the network of related constructions with close meaning.

The paper aims to identify such related constructions by analyzing the translation equivalents of the verb-topicalization construction (mainly in Polish, Slovak, Czech, and Hungarian).
