Abstract

This is the Czech translation of Heidegger's work "Vom Wesen des Grundes", published in a bilingual German-Czech edition. In his work, Heidegger raises the question of ground or reason following the philosophical tradition extending from Plato and Aristotle, to Leibniz, Kant and Schelling.

However, he himself asks this question with a new radicality by placing it on the ground of the problem of transcendence and freedom of dasein. The discussion of the central themes of the work, such as transcendence, freedom and the transcendental concept of the world, also sheds a clarifying light on some of the ideas of "Being and Time" and of the lecture "What is Metaphysics?".

The importance of this writing also lies in the fact that the idea of the "ontological difference" of Being and beings appears here, the basis of which, according to Heidegger, is precisely the transcendence of dasein.
