The textbook is divided into two interconnected parts. In the first part, it introduces readers to the general theory of social administration, outlines the genesis of current models of social systems management, introduces the principles of management in social administration and other key concepts that are necessary to understand the context presented in the second part.
It deals with the interpretation of specific ways of organization and management of individual segments of social administration, such as social insurance and support, health administration, administration of the social and legal protection system, support for the unemployed, vulnerable and socially excluded persons and others. Attention is also paid to the specifics of the administration of newly formed systems, such as protection against discrimination or protection of the rights of foreigners.
The role of social work as a key helping profession in the functioning of social systems is emphasized. The publication is processed as a collective work of leading Czech experts working in the field.
