The paper focuses on arguments that Ladislav Klíma uses to philosophically sustain his thesis about non-existence of other selves (otherness). He starts by differentiating substantial Self (soul) and illusionary Self which is strongly connected to the concept of memory.
The fundamental hypothesis of this paper is that Klíma in his elaboration of egosolism is radically thinking through the eternal return of the same, to which he proposes a corressponding understanding of the Absolute. The paper also deals with Klíma's connnection to solipsism.
Building on the main features of Klíma's understanding of the Will, the paper reaches the conclusion, that refusing the otherness of other selves is the very condition of possibility of thinking different oneself as well as the others.
