Czechia -Constitutional Court ruled in a case concerning home births and the related right of women to be heard
Abstract
On 1 December 2021, the Constitutional Court decided a case concerning home births and right of involved women to be heard. The Court was ruling in a case regarding of a midwifewho was fined (approximately EUR 4 700) for assisting in home births.
The women who were giving birth demanded to take part in the proceedings, and to express their stance.
