Abstract
The German construction organization Organization Todt (OT) established itself in Trondheim in the spring of 1941 to lead the work of expanding Nyhavna in Trondheim into a larger German naval facility. The submarine bunkers Dora I and II are the clearest expressions of this work.
OT's assignment required a large supply of foreign labor. This article dwells on the Czech forced laborers under OT's Oberbauleitung Drontheim and shows that this group had better working and living conditions than other forced laborers from Eastern Europe.
