Town Chronicles of Jáchymov and Most in the Context of Urban Historiography of North-West Bohemia in the Pre-White Mountain Period

Abstract

The study deals with the German-written city chronicles of Jáchymov and Most as examples of the urban historiography of the Pre-White Mountain period. From a historiolinguistic point of view, the attention is paid to the composition of the chronicles, the languages of the chronicles and the reflection of the authors in their historiographical work.
