Abstract

The article deals with the migration and reception of the Advent song "Radujme se všickni spolu" ("Let Us All Rejoice Together"), which has been widely used in the Bohemian environment in several textual variants. The song is a sacred contrafactum of the melody "Es suld eyn man keyn möle farn" (also known with the incipit "Rom peltier"), a four-part arrangement of which was also known in Bohemia.

The considerable spread and popularity of this melody in various parts of Europe testifies to the intense cultural exchange that took place from the late fifteenth to the early seventeenth century.
