Abstract
The Article is critical review of the czech translation of Culler 's monography The Theory of Lyric (Praha, Karolinum 2020, trans. Martin Pokorný).
There are reflected fundamental theses of the monography in the frame of czech literary theoretical tradition, f. e. problem of lyrical subject in conception of Miroslav Červenka.
