Abstract

Jan Deyl (1855-1924) was a prominent Czech ophthalmologist, with whose name are connected the Deyl Institute, the Deyl Obzor magazine, the publication External Eye Diseases, the charity Czech Heart - Emergency Aid for Soldiers, and the establishment of the Sanatorium in Toušeň, the Educational Institute for Morally Defective Youth in Jilemnice, and the Czech Children's Hospital for children with incurable diseases.
