Abstract

The chapter is focused on creole language Tok Pisin, the language of Papua New Guinea. Despite the fact that Tok Pisin is quite geographically distant from Polynesia and it has evolved itself in Melanesia, namely in New Britain, its origin is in the area of Samoan islands.

In the chapter is provided review of development of that languge and its importance for the locals and their way of life.
