Abstract

A rare case of active young man with developmental tibial malformation (DTM) without amputation may differ in gait kinematics pattern compared to acquired trans-tibial amputee (ATA) prosthetic gait. We investigated the gait kinematics during slow, normal and fast walking on the 3D treadmill using 3D video analysis.

Gait pattern of the case of DTM appears to be similar to ATA in gait asymmetry and variability.
