Publication at Faculty of Education |
2021

Abstract

The paper presents the results of research into the effects of supervision in school. It is based on a questionnaire survey of 2,500 teachers and 15 case studies in schools.

The teaching profession is full of stress. A large number of teachers are directly at risk of burnout.

In the research, we found out how much influence there is on social support in preventing burnout and how important collegial relationships at school are. Strengthening school relationships can be facilitated by many activities, notably supervision or other forms of teacher experience sharing.

The research examined the benefits and obstacles of supervision and showed the great potential of supervision in school.
