However, there are also important developments regarding external intervention in the region. This presentation focuses on activities of Turkey in Somalia.
The Middle-Eastern country has become one of the most important foreign investors in Somalia since 2011 and one of its most visible international partners. It is important to ask why is Turkey so attracted by Somalia, given its long term instability, and what it wants to achieve there.
The aim of the prezentation is to provide several possible explanations of Turkish policy and to comment on their probability.
