Abstrakt
The aim of the monography was to give an overview of various changes of the oral mucous membrane and to classify them to eight main groups according the etiology. Seven groups deals with oral manifestations of various diseases and disorders, the eights group consists of oral mucosal atypia and anomalies.
It can help the readers to solve following situations: - To differentiate between healthy and pathologically altered oral mucosa. - To differentiate between cilinical signs of numerous diseases and mucosal atypia and anomalies. - To try to classify oral mucosal diseases according to the etiology. - To determine competences of all members of the dental team with emphasis on the dental hygienist and the dentist. - To inform the patient that we are or are not able to heal the lesion completely, or to alleviate patient's problems only, or to refer the patient to another specialist.
