Folium 63r in Codex Basilensis shows that the scribe was well-versed in the rules of creating more tricky colophons of that time and, whenever necessary, was apt at properly playing with the reader (ludere scriptor eat). The scribe adhered to a certain written tradition, thus showing his great erudition and professional expertise.

In turn, a significant part of the colophon in Old Prussian informs us that the author of the manuscript belonged to the Prussian nation (an identical Trace of Cologne reveals the scribe's Scandinavian descent).
