Abstract

The map of the Czech parliamentary elections 2021 results shows clear spatial patterns of voting behaviour. Democratically perceived coalitions SPOLU and PirSTAN had significantly higher electoral support in prosperous regions, metropolitan areas and stabilised rural areas, while the populist political movements ANO and SPD achieved higher electoral gains in economically less successful regions, inner and outer peripheries of the country and specifically in the former Sudetenland.
