Abstract

There are researched the fictious stories of foundation of the oldest benedictines monasteries in the Central Europa, namelly in Bohemia Saint George in Prague, in Břevnov, Ostrov (or Saint-John under Rock), Sázava; in Moravia in Rajhrad; in Poland in Międzyrzecz nad Obrą (or in Kaźmierz) and in Trzemeszno; in Hungary in Zobor, in Skalka near Trenčín and in Bakonybél. These historiae fundationis monasteriorum are mostly connected with legendary naration about the saints.
