Abstract
The author reviews the publication of the prominent Czech gynecologist, Antonín Doležal. In his book, he deals with the origin and meaning of anatomical names.
The author of the review emphasizes the doctor's many years of experience in using such terminology, which he took into account in his theoretical interpretations, and especially appreciates that he created a dictionary with a series of synonyms, from different languages. The author of the review appreciates the honest work with the sources and the number of anatomical synonyms found.
