The reviewed book is an in-depth study and analysis of the rich and varied sources of information, providing an in-depth look at the nature and characteristics of the moon and its various phases and phenomena, as well as its role and function, to the ancient Egyptian mind-set in Ptolemaic and Roman times. The study concurrently contributes greatly to our understanding of the mythological role and function the moon in all its aspects played in ancient Egypt.
