The Rozvadov battlefield features a large and unique set of well-preserved early modern field fortications, which is unparalleled in the Czech lands. Systematic survey of a selected part of the battlefield with metal detectors has brought very important insights into the locations and character of individual combat operations as well as weapons and equipment of early modern armies.
Among other things, unique finds of artillery projectiles and a large and unique set of engineering tools. The results of archaeological research of the battelfield were futrher complemented by the study of a comprehensive set of written sources for the battle and the analysis of a unique collection of cartographic and iconographic sources.
