Policy, education and research - variants of close and tense relationships

Abstract

The chapter focuses on the relationship between higher and adult education policy and scientific research. It demonstrates the important ways higher education and adult education have been shaped by neoliberal policies.

It presents variants of the policy-science relationship and, in this context, comments on the ways critical research can influence education policy.
