Abstract
The article focuses on the creation of bibliographic citations of cartographic documents according to the standards ČSN ISO 690 from 2011 and ISO 690 from 2021. After the initial definition of the term cartographic document, the text focuses on generally valid principles that are specific to both standards when creating citations of cartographic documents.
Subsequently, news about the creation of citations of cartographic documents, which are connected with the newly issued international standard ISO 690, are presented, while the text is supplemented by illustrative examples of citations. In the end, the idea of the main goals of changes in the citation standard is expressed, namely the effort to identify the specific cited document and its creator with maximum accuracy, together with ensuring the correct search for the correct document and access to it in the long term.
