Abstract

The collective monograph published by the Institute of Slavonic Studies of the CAS, v. v. i. provides a comprehensive view of the development of Slavic studies in the last thirty years, i.e. since the renewal of the Institute of Slavonic Studies in 1990/1992. The chapter on the translation of folklore texts first summarizes the translation traditions of folklore texts of the South Slavic nations into Czech and Slovak from the point of view of folklore genres as well as from the geographical point of view.

And then it provides an overview of all translations.
