Literature and the social : Reading literature "sociologically", or in "in the social context"?

Abstract

The paper focused on social-contextual approaches to literature and their typology, from the backround of both sociology and literary criticism. The chief difference lies in the conception of social context either as an autonomous filed of producers of literature, or as the general social space.
