Abstract
This publication summarizes main findings of the National Psychedelic Research project carried out by the National Institute of Mental Health in 2019-2021 that focused on the phenomenon of use of psychedelics in the Czech Republic. Main topics of research interest included: framework information on psychedelics and their use, state of art of the current reseach, services provided in the Czech Republic, prevalence of use and sociodemographic characteristics of users, patterns of use, health impacts, use of psychedelics in mental health care, risks related to psychedelics, legislation and services.
Based on the research results, recommendations were formulated for the area of services and policy in the field of addiction in the Czech Republic. This publication covers main research findings, full results will be published in a detailed research report.
