Native American hip hop in the USA and Canada as a form of indigenous activism

Abstract

Native American hip hop is often used as a tool for indigenous activism. Based on content analysis of textual and visual components of selected music videos, the chapter aims to understand the character of indigenous activism of Native American hip hop artists.
