Abstract
Professor of Yale University, Leopold Jaroslav Pospíšil (1923-2021), represented until recently living legend of the field of Anthropology. His famous research among Kapauku Papuans he summarizes in the autobiographical work "Adventures in the "Stone Age".
In this book he comments also other field research among Inuits and the peasants of the Obernberg Valley in Austria. That all against the backdrop of major historical events.
