Abstract
This article presents the author's recent research and highly detailed comparative work, positioning the Tayean (Dayan) transcriptions of San Lazzaro on a timeline as part of an evolving monastic tradition, as well as placing them in the context of traditions associated with other centres such as Vienna and Constantinople.
