Abstract
Th is anthropologic study presents prehistoric rock art in the Côa Valley, Portugal. Th e study focuses on discovery of this unpa-ralleled archaeological site and on subsequent endeavour to conserve it.
Th e texts are based on empirical data gathered during fi eld research. Th e study strives for describing, analysing and interpreting several samples from the greatest gallery of prehistoric engravings in the world that have preserved under the open sky.
