Abstract
Optical cohorence tomography (OCT) has revolutionized ophthalmology and over time has become the standard among imaging methods. Since the beginning of the 1990s, its resolution has been constantly improved in order to approach histopathology.
Sensitivity has been increased by the transition from the time to frequency domain,and the examination speed has been significantly increased thanks to new light sources and faster detector.
