Abstract

Summary: Respiratory inflammatory diseases are among the serious complications of chronically ill pneumological patients, which can result in life-threatening situations. The most common bacterial agents include Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus.

Gram-positive bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae can cause serious diseases from otitis, pneumonia to meningitis, which can progress to invasive pneumococcal disease. The infection takes place by droplet transmission, especially during a long-term stay in the team.

The incubation period is short. The symptoms are severe and severe.

The risk group among pneumological patients is those who have advanced disease, are elderly, have other severe comorbidities or are immunosuppressed. Vaccination against pneumococci is one of the important preventive approaches against inflammatory infectious disease.

The aim is to prevent pneumococcal inflammation or to influence its course in the event of disease.
