Summary: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease mainly affects smokers. It's creeping up.
It is manifested by worsening exertional dyspnea, cough, fatigue, limited life activities of the patient. Early diagnosis is very important.
It consists in performing a functional lung examination and excluding another etiology of typical symptoms. Obstructive ventilation disorder, which is permanent and irreversible, is typical of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Bronchodilator therapy is essential in the treatment. Its goal is to slow progressive bronchial obstruction, enable the patient to live an active life and reduce the risk of life-threatening exacerbations.
It is important to choose a therapy that will be maximally beneficial and the patient will be able to manage the inhalation administration of the product. This case report describes the course of the disease in a smoker patient over several years.
