Abstract

The foundation of the International Criminal Court ((( ICC }} or (( Court}}) represents another example of the increasing activity of the international community in the area of protection of human rights. Although the ICC cannot be seen as another international human rights court, the establishment of international prosecution and conduct of trials with persons suspected of committing genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, or crime of aggression should contribute to the respect and preservation of human rights.
