Abstract
The paper describes in detail the process of drafting , negotiating and approving the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. The author also pays attention to such details as the role of experts in the process, the statements of individual experts and their legal status within the then Czechoslovak Parliament.
The individual modifications of the original draft of the Charter also have a special place in the paper, thus the author also captures the personal input of individual participants in the negotiations.
