We describe a case of a 33-year-old male examined for sexually motivated nocturnal behavior involving masturbation, sexual intercourse/attempted intercourse, and sexual vocalizations. His current girlfriend particularly complained of incitement to sexual intercourse, and her sleep was also disturbed by the patient's sexual talking and groping.

She did not describe his behavior as being aggressive, but rather as harassing. The patient was completely unaware of it.

He only stated that his past girlfriend had also mentioned this behavior, but she did not mind it. The patient used to sleepwalk as a child, and he estimated that the sexual behavior has only emerged in the last 10 years, with a fluctuating frequency of once a month to several nights a week.

He has no other medical problems, no neurological, psychiatric (including no history of trauma), or comorbid sleep disorder, he was not taking any medication or addictive substances, and he did not drink alcohol excessively. BMI 21.3.

He has an irregular sleep schedule, whereby he falls asleep within 45 min, and sleep duration varies between 5 and 8 h, which reflects his irregular working hours on a job-by-job basis.
