Abstract
The legal monograph "Duty and Liability in Substantive and Procedural Civil Law - Special Problems" is a multi-thematic publication focusing on special issues of liability in private law after its recodification. With regard to the ten-year anniversary of the adoption of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., The Civil Code, the presented monograph could have been an attempt at a kind of balance of the private law area thus defined.
However, this characteristic is not accurate, as the monograph - as its title suggests - also examines selected procedural (ie public) contexts (for example the court's duty of instruction, the procedural liability of the debtor and the creditor in insolvency proceedings), including an introductory clear analysis of the model rules of the European civil procedure.
