Abstract
The article provides an insight into the process of digitalization of construction permission proceeding and town and country planning in the Czech Republic. Within its contents author describes possible benefits of digitalization both from the point of view of public administration bodies and natural and legal persons, defines the preconditions and threats for its successful implementation in application practice, mentions key legislations, presents the proposed information systems and the way in which the digitalization is reflected in the legal regulation of the permission proceeding.
The author identifies the time horizon as the main threat of the digitalization process. If the proposed information systems were not launched within the set deadline, the permitting process would be paralyzed.
