This article discusses how teachers and their students dealt with emergency remote schooling during the covid-19 pandemic. It analyses which kind of digital media were used and in which way they were integrated into school classes.

Further, it shows how teachers and students adapted themselves to online remote schooling and discusses which lessons can be learned for the future.
