Abstract
Forest management guidelines represent a clear scheme of management procedures in the specific conditions of overburden material from open-cast coal mining. The starting point for their differentiation was the classification of forest stands according to their species composition and the character of mixing, in a more similar classification also according to their growth phase, respectively age.
