Abstract

Chronic cough and recurrent respiratory infections are very common reasons for examination by a specialist. With advances in medicine, there are increasing opportunities to detect rare diseases, such as primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD).

PCD is manifested primarily by chronic moist cough, persistent rhinitis, recurrent infections including otitis, sinusitis, bronchitis and pneumonia. In 50% of cases, it is associated with an inverted position of the organs.
