Abstract
Diabetic foot syndrome means the presence of pathology on the diabetic foot distal to the ankle, it is a serious and very difficult to treat complication of diabetes mellitus. Treatment must be comprehensive and include relief of the affected limb, revascularization in case of ischemia, antibiotic treatment in case of infection, debridement and preparation of the base of the wound and choice of appropriate wound dressing.
