Melanoma has often been described in the literature as an enigmatic tumor due to its varied clinical appearance, unpredictable behavior, unexpected course in specific cases, which deviate from statistics, tables and study results. Melanoma will continue to carry the label that it is a tumor that often "does what it wants".
Despite obviously better treatment options, the most effective in "fighting" melanoma will be its early detection and surgical removal, identification of high-risk patients and their dispensarization (positive family history, skin phototype, habits in relation to the effects of UV radiation - sun solariums, presence of numerous, atypical skin nevi). This will continue to be a major challenge for dermatologists.
Prevention me and will always be better than cure.
