Abstract

Differential diagnosis of vomiting is quite extensive. Several factor need to be taken into account when looking for etiology, such as the age of the child, duration of vomiting and others.

Many complementary examinations are often used to determine the diagnosis apart from taking medical history and doing physical examination. The results of examinations usually allow us to identify the etiology, but sometimes may lead us in the wrong direction.

In this case report we present a boy with chronic vomiting who was admitted to pediatric neurology department. However, the etiology felt within the competence of a completely different specialization.
