Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive neurostimulation method that utilizes the effect of low-intensity direct current on brain tissue. In recent years, the use of tDCS has been studied for a number of neuropsychiatric diseases.
The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the potential application and effect of tDCS in the treatment of positive, negative and cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia.
