The book of the famous Czech sociologist J.Šubrt "Sociology of Time: A Critical Review" summarizes the author's previous theoretical reflections and publications and critically highlights the approaches, concepts and theories of key Western sociologists, for whom time is an all-pervasive category or is woven into other theoretical constructions. The author, as a specialist in the field of historical sociology, could not but include in the monograph a historical and sociological perspective with access to the level of interdisciplinary research.
In our opinion, this is what allows the scientist to move the "sociology of time" from the periphery of the general sociological theory to a wider discursive framework. Connecting temporalized sociology with historical sociology and with the concept of long-term social processes is the key point of the book.
