Abstract
At Charles University, more busy than other activities, Alois Musil became a key figure in the study of the Islamic Orient, younger Orientalists - Iranian and Turkcologist Jan Rypka (1886-1968), full professor since 1930, and Felix Tauer (1893-1981), who habilitated at Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in 1925, but did not reach the professorship until 1945.
