We will discuss the importance of Paulo Freire and decolonial pedagogical practices from three different perspectives but all of them considering worldwide and Czech contexts. The first one will address the close relationship between his ideas and his practical education method.

It will focus on the topic of the political character of education-oriented towards active citizenship, critical thinking, and solidarity. The second will focus on relationships in educational settings and the importance of every student's perception of being a person who produces knowledge, both for the sake of the learning process and for promoting social and political changes.

Also, it will discuss Paulo Freire's concept of "reading the world", to stop perpetuating oppressions and prejudices and promote a better world for all people by better understanding realities. The third and last one will approach the basic aspects of decolonization of thought and education, from the analysis of the historical sources of a postcolonial perspective it will address the question: "How can the decolonization of thought and education be used today in connection with the theory of resilience and situation of climate crisis?"
