Introduction to the Czech Morphology including an Excercise Book - for Students of Bohemistics and related disciplines
Abstract
The textbook provides the reader with a basic overview of the current Czech morphology. In addition, a set of eighteen sets of examples allows the reader to revise and practise the acquired knowledge.
With the help of the textbook, the reader can gain insight into all importants parts of morphology, understand the development tendencies within the current Czech morphology and realize the interconnectedness between morphology and other parts of language system as well as interconnectedness between morphology and graphemics. In the exercises, the reader can see to what extent he is able to analyze a specific text and to what extent he is able to place the morphological issues into a broader context.
The key to the exercises doesn't only contain the correct answers but also numerous references to other linguistic texts. Thus, the textbook is suitable for self-study too and at the same time it should encourage the reader to study other linguistic texts..
