Abstract

(Anti)militaristic themes and motifs have always been one of the cornerstones of songwriting, both in domestic (K. Kryl, V.

Merta, J. Nohavica) and international contexts (B.

Dylan, J. Baez, V.

Vysotsky). If we accept the fact that the phenomenon of folk, albeit in many differences, is still relevant today; the question arises whether contemporary songwriters also turn to the themes of war discourse.

Especially in a time that appears to be seemingly peaceful. If the perspective of engagement extends beyond the mainstream, it turns out that this tradition continues today.
